Steve opened Specialty Lumber in January of 2000 as a start-up company, and ever since then, he has made it his personal goal to build partnerships with mill suppliers and employees alike to provide our customers with fantastic service and the best quality forest products available. He makes it a main priority to maintain an excellent working environment through the use of mentoring, teamwork, and problem solving skills to create solutions for not only customers, but employees as well. Before creating Specialty Lumber, he worked for 5 years as a sales rep and operations manager for a major retail lumber chain, 2 years as a production supervisor for a nationwide home builder, and 15 years as a sale/product manager for 2 different wholesale lumber distribution centers. He was been president and CEO of Specialty Lumber for the 14 years it has been in business.

Norma has been working alongside Steve since the start of Specialty Lumber back in 2000. Her main job is bookkeeping for account payable and account receivable. What she enjoys most about her career with Specialty Lumber is working along with our wonderful team to serve our valued customers in the best way possible. Her previous experience before starting with us includes industrial sales, working as a purchasing agent, and as an accounting clerk.
Norma has been Steve's loving partner throughout the entirety of Specialty Lumber, and the couple has one son, Jake, along with two beagles. Joseph has been with the company since the very beginning, and his primary directive at Specialty Lumber is selling several different species of lumber and pattern stock to existing and new customers. What Joseph loves most about his job is customer relations. Working with customers to meet their needs and increase their sales through inventory variety, forming personal relationships along the way gives him his greatest job satisfaction. Before coming to Specialty Lumber, he sold lumber and molding for a local and national company.
Joseph was born and raised in the lumber business, having accumulated 40 years' experience, 30 of them in outside sales of lumber and moulding. He was the top salesman for a national moulding company from 1986 to 1996. He is married, the father of 2 sons, and grandfather to 3 girls. Craig has been a part of Specialty Lumber for the last 11 years, working primarily in sales and customer service. He enjoys working at a small company, where he feels he's like a part of a family, and seeing how products we sell are used for things such as furniture, mouldings, and horse barns. He also loves the personal relationships he has developed with his clients. Before coming to Specialty Lumber, he worked for 2 years at a Lancaster County construction firm, and five years as a contractor sales rep for a major retail chain. He has 18 years in the lumber industry, working in construction, retail sales, and wholesale lumber sales.
Craig is the father of three children, and has been a volunteer in the Hempfield School District where he lives for the last 9 years, which has included coaching football, basketball, softball, and flag football. Roger has been a part of the Specialty Lumber team for the past 11 years, being mostly involved with inventory control, shipping and receiving, and schedule trucking. During his 25 years of work experience prior to joining our team, he has been involved in the lumber business as well as the truss manufacturing business. Roger is married with two daughters, and when he is not working, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles and ATVs with his family and friends.
